EM Derivatives

The course on " How to Produce Natural EM Stock and Organic Fertilizer ", will teach you hand-on method to produce the following EM derivatives:

  1. EM Stock ( This is a concentrated culture of effective microorganisms) ;
  2. EMAS ( Effective Microorganisms Activated Solution - a solution which consisted of clean water which have been added with some EM Stock to allow the effective microorganisms to multiply ) ;
  3. FPJ ( Fermented Plant Juice which is a supplement of vitamins, hormones and enzymes which helps to prevent pests and disease of the plants and soil. It also fortifies microbial activities in the leaves and soil) ;
  4. FFJ ( Fermented Fruit Juice which helps to promote flowering and fruiting );
  5. FFA ( Fermented Fish which is a foliar feed that provides Nitrogen/Amino acid for plants and promotes photosynthetic bacterias activities ) ;
  6. FPE ( Fermented Plant Extract which is extracted from a mixture of herbs to be used as insecticide or insect repellents ) ;
  7. CaP ( Calcium Phosphate for promoting growth and fruits )
  8. EM5 ( Effective Microorganisms insecticide and repellent to prevent disease and pests problems in plants and animals ) ;
  9. BOKASHI ( There are many types of bokashi. They are compost and fertilizer lump together to be mixed with soil for planting vegetables and fruit trees. Most bokashi are produced by fermenting manure and recycled organic wastes. They contain most of the nutrients for plant growth ).
Producing the above EM derivatives can help farmers or planters to :
  1. save up to 50% of their operational cost ;
  2. increase their crop yield by more than 25% ;
  3. produce organic vegetables and fruits ;
  4. fetch better price for their crops ;
  5. prevent themselves from exposure to chemicals, pesticides and herbicides ;
  6. prevent leaching of fertilizer in their farms/plantations ;
  7. enrich and condition their land ;
  8. increase more microbial activities in their land ;
  9. balance the ecosystem in their land ;
  10. save the environment by not using chemicals.
Due to the above benefits , it is worthwhile attending the course. The two-days comprehensive course is theory (50% ) and (hand-on 50%). It is conducted by an officer from the agriculture department with the cooperation of a few experienced organic farmers. There will be a visit to an organic farm if the weather permits.

How to Make Organic Fertilizers

For the past few years, the price of chemical and organic fertilizers have increased tremendously. Many farmers and planters find it difficult to maintain their operational cost. It is high time that they learn how to make their own organic fertilizers, compost, pesticides, insect repellent, plant nutrients, hormones and culture friendly microorganisms (em) for their farms or plantations. Making your own fertilizers costs less than a quarter of the price of chemical fertilizers. Furthermore, you get healthier plants and better quality crops which can be sold at a better price. They are also safe for consumption and environmental friendly.

Learning how to make organic fertilizers is easy. Just attend a two- day workshop in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The workshop is presently conducted in the Malay Language. If there is enough request for this course to be conducted in the English or Chinese Language, we will conduct it. However, there must be a minimum of more than 15 participants. Below is a brief outline of the content for the workshop:

Some of the topics include:
  1. EM Culture
  2. EM Activated Solution
  3. EM Bokashi ( Fertilizer)
  4. EM-5 ( Bio pesticide and Repellent).
  5. Bio Nutrients
  6. Bio Fertilizers
  7. Applications of the above
Participants attending the workshop, will learn the theory and practical aspects of making fertilizers. They will be taught step by step hand-on method. Notes will be provided. After the course, they can email us if they have problems regarding the making and applying of the fertilizers.

Course Date : 14&15 March 2009
Closing date
: 6 March 2009.
Place : Dewan Balai Raya, Kpg. Kuala Pajam, 43700 Beranang, Selangor.

Course fee : RM380 per person only (a discounted 50% introductory offer).
